Doesn't it feel like living in a Steven Spielberg film? It does to me.<\/span><\/h2>\n

And as surreal as it sounds, the best thing we can do right now is to stay at home.<\/p>\n

And take the bike, where possible, when we really have to go to work or when we do our weekly shopping.<\/p>\n

Already we don't go out, but if we must go out, let's combine it with physical exercise so at least it does us good.<\/p>\n

This moment will pass.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

What we can do now is to use this to our advantage,\u00a0try to see the positive things and prepare ourselves to make a difference when we can finally go out.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And if you ask me what is positive right now, I say we can find something.
\nSuch as finally getting some time to rest.\u00a0And to reflect. And being with our loved ones in our own family unit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And again,
\nThe air in Italy has become cleaner. You can finally breathe well. I can feel it in the air. But the ARPA control units say it too.<\/p>\n

And so it is totally our responsibility to keep it that way!<\/p>\n

Did you know that fine dust and smog officially kill more people than the coronavirus? In Italy alone it is 100 people a day<\/strong>every day, every month, every year dying from polluted air. Without us raising the alarm. We are used to it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So that in these crazy times we are all rightly afraid of COVID-19, but if you think about it, the polluted air we all breathe, makes more victims<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Worldwide, according to WHO (World Health Organisation) figures, about 3,000,000 people die each year from smog. If you want to learn more, I found this article useful: the coronavirus emergency has brought down the smog in our cities.<\/a><\/p>\n

And if you could get something good out of this period when the whole of Italy was paralysed, wouldn't you feel better?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

It makes me feel better knowing that a lesson, even a bitter one, has served to teach me something very important.<\/p>\n

We can all learn from this lesson. And when we come out of this, we can think more about our future!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each of us can make a difference by simply favouring cycling wherever possible. It makes us feel good, saves us money and puts a smile back on our planet.<\/p>\n
